Through ACE (Adult Community Education) in Sunnyvale. Go to www.ace.fuhsd.org, then Community Life, then Home Arts to see my class listings. These classes change every quarter. Usually I teach Beginning and Intermediate Crochet and a Specialty Class like “Creative Edging in Crochet.” |

I also give all classes in my home. To get started, just email me at chaninca@aol.com and let me know which class(es) you want to take and I’ll pull together a class. Classes to choose from are –

Beginning Knitting or Crochet: $35 (includes class fee and materials) |

Continuing Knitting or Intermediate Crochet: $35 (includes class fee and materials) |

Wraps – shawls, capelets, shrugs, ponchos: $30 class fee plus materials kit (price depends on the project) |

Socks: $30 class fee plus materials kit (price depends on the project) |

Blankets – adult (Artful Blanket) and baby: $30 class fee plus materials kit (price depends on the project) |

Creative Edging: $30 (class fee) Learn fun edgings in knit and crochet to embellish all your knitted or crocheted projects. This makes them so much more interesting! (you bring some pre-made squares and extra yarn to practice making your edges) |

Hats: $30 (class fee) Learn to crochet wonderful hats for all seasons. Make plain designs or add embellishment with flowers and other creative details. (you bring your materials or purchase a kit from Channing) |

Embroider on your knitting or crocheting: $30 (class fee) This class is all about embellishment. Put the fun and originality into your work and learn how to create designs on the surface. (you bring pre-made knitted or crocheted patches and extra yarn to work on) |

| For any of my patterns in the classes above you can buy the “Kit-to-Go” which has all the materials including a pattern so you can do the project independently from me. |

COLOR IN FIBER – a 1-day workshop where you will learn to use color and texture in your knitting/crocheting through a fun, right-brained process. $60 includes lunch (all attendees receive a FREE copy of Channing’s new book – ARTFUL SIMPLICITY.) ARTFUL SIMPLICITY – a 2-day workshop where you will explore the beauty and simplicity of design in nature and then learn how to translate that into a knitting/crochet pattern. You’ll work on one of Channing’s ARTFUL SIMPLICITY patterns or create your own. $120 includes lunch both days (all attendees receive a FREE copy of Channing’s new book – ARTFUL SIMPLICITY).The setting will be in Sunnyvale, CA. EYE ON DESIGN – a 3-day workshop where you will get in touch with your own creativity and have the time to explore and create with others. The setting will be in Carmel, CA. Email Channing at chaninca@aol.com for more information and to register. |
 Come to a Monthly KNITALONG at Channing’s home (click on photo for larger view) in Sunnyvale, where you can learn to knit or crochet, and/or get started on a new project with a ‘KIT-TO-GO.’ (Sign up to be on the monthly Newsletter to get notices of the KNITALONG dates).
Charity projects in 2010 – this year our Knitalong group is making continuous projects for a variety of charities both outside and inside the U.S.A. This is a wonderful way to practice skills and give to others in need at the same time. Come join and contribute! |
