What does it mean to have an "Eye on Design"?

Think about a time in your life when you have the time to slow down, to notice things in the world all around you, to see things, hear things, and feel things. When this happens you begin to see the beauty in the world, you begin to appreciate the beauty and allow it to come inside of you. As you slow down and are aware of the beauty, it influences you, and brings out your creativity. Whether you are a visual, auditory or kinesthetic person, you will begin to express yourself in new ways. The more I allow myself to see the infinite beauty in the world, in its people, the more I want to express myself in my own innate ways - through photography, poetry, and fiber arts. Color, texture, design, words, images - all just come flowing out of me. And I want to encourage you to start by taking time to reflect and observe on a regular basis. You'll be amazed at what happens. As you do this, send me an email and share your new expression and creativity. You've now developed an "Eye on Design". My inspiration came from a family where creative observation and practice was cherished and encouraged. And so in carrying forward this tradition I honor my family members who are no longer with me, and this becomes part of my legacy to my children and grandchildren – and to YOU!
